Giving me ear ache!
May 13th, 2009 Posted in car, generalI paid a visit to the doctors last night as I thought I was getting an ear infection and wanted to make sure I had some antibiotics as it would be sure to come out properly on Saturday morning when I have no chance of getting to a doc before the flight!
She checked me over and asked why I thought I was getting an ear infection and what the story was. She proceeds to point out that I have fluid in the middle ear of both lugs. She then asks if I had any difficulty breathing or if I was congested whilst reading the notes from the appointment after the car accident. I admitted that I’d had the same cold since December. She then starts looking up my nose of all places and proceeds to inform me that the impact with the airbag has knocked my nose out of alignment which is causing congestion and has the knock on effect of fluid in the middle ear.
She then suggests seeing a specialist to see what can be done in the way of permanent treatment. Which, by dumb luck I already have an appointment for in June!
An awful lot of things make a little more sense now and it’s all that stupid Toyota driving idiots fault! She’s not going to like it when the claim for this goes through! So, I feel better now I’ve had a rant. Here’s a funny cat pic; haven’t put one up in a while!

Got to look after your ears mate!
I’ve had ear ache since December and they put it down to pregnancy.
Then I went dizzy and felt really poorly with imbalance in the ears so went back and they have referred me to an ENT specialist as my ear drum is compacted. May have to have a gromit fitted – Yay!
Also – when I was 6 – my brother perferated my ear drum with a long tail comb – just jabbed it in my earlug – and game over!
So – Sue her sorry ass and look after those ears!
(Do you think you ear problem is why you are a grump?X)

Sounds like you need a good nose pulling to sort you out. Want me to pop over with the pliers?

Yowsers, earache is NASTY and having your nose literally out of joint – hope the treatment is swift and painless.
