Moozic!
July 10th, 2009 Posted in Eirglish, general, historyIt’s the Oxigen music festival over here this weekend. It started out as a small one nighter and has morphed into a three night festival which seems to attract people from all over the planet. I think I’m just too old! I like luxury a little too much and the only way I could think about going to a festival is if I had one of those coach sized American RV things that is like a house on wheels. Oh, and a guard dog to protect it while I’m not there! 
Even if I went it probably wouldn’t be what I remember. Concerts never seem to be as good as the ones I remember going to years ago! Again, maybe I’m just showing my age? Here’s an example of something special!
The Monsters of Rock one dayer is now known as the Download festival and like the rest covers three days. Even that seemed to go a bit on the retro side this year with acts like, Def Leppard, Faith No More, Motley Crue etc etc. maybe concert promoters are realising that most of the plastic acts of today can’t hold their own against proper bands!
Damn, now I’m definitely sounding old! Where’s my pipe and slippers??

That said, having not been to a decent gig since 1993, I can’t really say much. Although, I am meant to be organising a stag weekend to the Isle of Wight festival next year. That should be a woo!
